Application: Melamine is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₃H₆N₆. Its primary industrial use is in the production of melamine-formaldehyde resin, a durable thermosetting polymer known for its heat resistance, hardness, and durability. This resin is widely used to manufacture decorative laminates (e.g., for countertops), tableware, coatings, adhesives, and molding compounds. Furthermore, due to its high nitrogen content, melamine serves as an effective flame retardant in paints, plastics, and paper.
